Pain

Some people are in physical pain for so long it becomes their norm. What would be a normal person’s five on a physician’s silly pain scale is their one. The pain is no less real, no less devastating on their physical well-being, but it becomes as much a part of them as a scar might be to another.

The same goes for individuals who are suffering from emotional pain. It can become their norm, their burden, their cross, but as opposed to physical pain there is a sure fire cure and comfort — frequent communication with God. Given half an opportunity the emotional pain one feels destined to endure will be lifted away and will soar like an eagle to the heavens.

Don’t believe me — try it.
