Spendthrift or Lavish Spender?

Ever heard the question — How do you spend your time? I certainly have. Usually the question is meant to elicit a response about what do you do during the day. A similar question is — How did you spend your day?
Questions such as this presume that time is a commodity, and I guess it is. Time is like a lot of commodities — use it or lose it.
I think you are starting to get my point. When it comes to time do you spend it wisely, do you hoard your time selfishly, or do you waste it?
We all have a certain amount of time left in our bank and unlike money, and at the end of our time we can’t leave it to our children or favorite charity.
So if you consider time as your most precious commodity, which it is, ask your self again, “How do I spend my time.” Am I a spendthrift refusing to share my time with others or do I lavish my time with those I love? Not a bad question to ask yourself every day.
Another question is how much time do you tithe, how much of the time in your bank do you spend talking to God and serving others.
You can’t promise to give your time to God in a will or trust. Use it or lose it.
