Chariots and Horses

Some put their trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will call on the name of the Lord…. — Psalm 20:7

We need to be reminded of this passage over and over again. Governments tend to place all their hopes and dreams in the modern day version of Chariots and Horses.
We too have chariots in horses in our individual lives, and although they will in the end prove disappointing, we trust them to carry our hopes and plans.
This weekend a useful meditation might be identifying how to set aside our individual chariots and horses and how to place our trust in God.
