Meditation

The following is the complete meditation script I mentioned last week and several wrote in and asked for a copy.

Ajahn Thanasanti (author)

Take a moment and imagine somebody who absolutely has your best interest at your heart (pause)

Really only interested in you being well and flourishing. (pause)

Imagine them in front of you. (pause)

Imagine looking into their eyes looking at you so happy to see you. So deeply delighted to see you. (pause)

Let yourself feel what it feels like to be so cared for. (pause)

Notice any changes in your body and your muscle.

Notice what happens to your breath.

Notice changes in your mood or thoughts that come. (pause)

Allow this feeling of quality of kindness and care to suffuse your whole body, heart and mind. (pause)

When you feel that (the quality of kindness and care), when you know that, and when you taste the quality then you can drop the image.  Keep generating that quality of loving-kindness until you feel so full it spill out of you. (pause)

When it spills out and over then you can share this loving-kindness with your mentors, teachers, family, friends, and with people you don’t know and with all beings in the whole world.

Not a bad way to begin the week or day.
