Maundy Thursday

Whether it is in nature, in music, in the heavens, or in other people we recognize beauty. We may admire different things and we may see beauty in places where others don’t, but we all are drawn to the beautiful.
As the Lenten season ends we realize that we have experienced something very special. Lent began as a list of promises and good intentions — a fog of things to do and to not do. At some point, these separate pieces come together and we sensed the connection. Lent connected all the various elements that were always in us that were never put together before.
Lent has steeled us and given us the tools to carry forward with God’s plans. Just as we are drawn to beauty, our Lenten tempered selves will now be drawn to his light.
