Relationship With God

Through prayer, meditation, and service we build a relationship with God. The more we are in communication with God, the more we know that he will be there in an emergency.

Think about how you built a relationship with a very good friend. You began to communicate with him/her, then you began seeing each other perhaps even travel together, and ultimately you know that no matter how far apart you are from that friend, that friend will be there for you in times of need, and you will for him/her.
Consider during advent a new beginning with God. Through prayer introduce yourself again to God, talk to God many times a day, even begin traveling with God even if it is merely a stroll in the woods on occasion.
Before long, you will feel God’s presence even when you aren’t in communication, you will know that God’s resources are always available.
I used to be very close to a friend. He and I might sit in a room or being in a car without talking for minutes or even hours. we didn’t need to do so. We knew what each other was thinking.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have that kind of relationship with God. Well it can happen.
