To Want What Is Gifting Indeed

hunger builds up Lord

for more than I need,

while others go
needing for less
than i crave.

may my fast be one
of the heart and
the body

teach me to want
what is gifting
indeed. — Jason Leo
I came across the above nugget yesterday. We all struggle to learn about the difference between want and need. I know I did and do.
Our Lenten discipline helps us understand the difference, but learning about the difference serves us not, if we don’t act on our new understanding.
Pray that with your new understanding you find ways to fill your neighbors needs before you satisfy your wants.
Such wisdom is a gift indeed.
