Go With The Flow

Flow with whatever may happen
and let your mind be free;
Stay centered by accepting whatever you are doing.
This is the ultimate.Chuang Tsu

In sports you hear coaches say all the time, “Go with the flow.”

You let the game come to you rather than trying to be at constant conflict with the circumstances of the moment.

“Staying centered” is also a sports term — Not getting oneself into an awkward  position.

We go from an ancient philosopher to sports analogies to guideposts for life. Interesting journey don’t you think?

Words are easier than doing, and when we face the rush of problems, circumstances, and tragedies it is difficult to remain centered and let events flow through us rather than having them knock us of kilter.

That is what meditation, centering prayer, and whatever you do to begin your day is so important. Allow this time to be your anchor. Then when the winds of whatever the day brings won’t cause you to capsize.
