Light Will Lead Our Way

There are lots of references to light in the Bible, beginning with Genesis 1:3 — “Let there be light,” and Genesis 1: 16 — “God made the two great lights — the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night.” Then there is always one of my favorite passages where St. Paul tells us to put on our armor of light. Romans 13:12.

Have you ever considered the fact that stars and planets can light up the sky from millions and trillions of miles away. Darkness can always be overcome by light. Such is the case when you consider darkness in our lives. Just a little bit of light, especially the light of God, always overcomes darkness.

We are well served by seeking out the light rather than being consumed by darkness. Even a small match can illuminate a dark room, where the darkness of space is overcome by only one star — our sun.
