Abound In Hope

May the God of hope fill you with joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. — Romans 15:13.

Some mornings we begin the day with a feeling of emptiness. We are overwhelmed by life’s situations compounded by Covid, and we want to crawl back up in bed and wait for a better day. St. Paul gives us the answer to the blahs. — Let God fill you with joy and peace.

Quiet time in the morning with meditation, or prayer, or silence, or all three lets you fill your tank with joy and peace, and soon you “abound in hope.”

I know this makes no sense, but I have always felt that our car runs better when it has been washed and has a full tank of gas. Car mechanics think I’m crazy, and I may be. But I know human beings run better with a full tank of Joy and Peace. This morning ask God to: “Fill her up!”
