Healthy Exercise

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. — Hebrews 11:1.

As we begin the New Year we have lots to hope for and belief that good things will happen, despite all evidence to the contrary. We have faith.

The word faith has lots of meanings, but the Hebrews definition seems right to me, and causes me to ponder my own faith. Do I really trust God?

I have friends who believe that we humans are not supposed to question God and his wisdom, but I don’t think God would give us a brain if he didn’t want me to question and doubt. God wants us to trust him, as he wants to be able to trust us.

So today, I consider whether the things I hope for will occur and my belief of things yet to happen. I am exploring my faith, and a healthy exercise it is.
