Great Seal

The great seal has found his rock at Pawley’s Island. “The Yingling three” — Lila, Rebecca, and Frannie are happy because they have a huge float in the ocean to hang on to and climb up on.

Readers of the Pew know how much I enjoy the beach and ocean. The peace the rhythm of the waves brings is one of the many gifts God provides.
I believe we each have a special place where God seems a little bit closer. For me it is a beach, for others the mountains, and for others it might just be a quiet pew in a remote church. Many don’t have the freedom to find that special place, but in those cases I think God helps one find it, even if it is an unlikely  spot. When I was once in a place where freedom wasn’t possible, I found my special place on a bleacher looking out onto a vacant ball field listening to choral music on the Frostburg State NPR channel.
The important thing is to keep coming back to one’s special place, for God not only always forgives and loves, he also refreshes.
