Monday In the Fourth Week of Lent

St. Theresa’s Prayer:

May today there be peace within. May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let his presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and everyone of you.

I think just about everyone one of us craves peace within. A feeling of calm that takes over our  body, mind, and heart. What St. Theresa is reminding us is that inner peace follows trust/faith.
Faith and trust go against our nature. We are schooled to be in charge and in control of each and every situation, despite all evidence to the contrary.
St. Theresa gives us a roadmap to that peace that alludes us — trust you are where you are meant to be at this very moment, have faith that your life is one of infinite possibilities, use and pass on your gifts and love, and settle into the comfort of knowing you are God’s child, and that his presence is within you.
