Who’s Got The Bright Pearl That Calms The Oceans?

Who’s got the bright pearl that calms the oceans? — I Ching

If we are not careful, Lent can quickly become all about self, but Jesus warns us against public displays of piety.
Beware of practicing your righteousness before others in order to be seen by them…” Matthew 6:1.
I Ching’s words remind that someone we touch might just be “the bright pearl that calms the oceans.”
During Lent we serve others to keep from becoming to self-centered. We also serve others because it might just be our touch, our act of kindness, or our smile that discovers the “bright pearl” in another.
In each of us is the power to turn another’s life around, and in so doing we might just turn our life around too.
The “bright pearl” is out there, in fact it might just be in your possession waiting on the day you discover it.
