The News Isn’t Good!

Set your heart on doing good … Do it over and over again, and you will be filled with joy. –Buddha

The news these days isn’t good. Mass shootings, bad weather, people without home, food, or water, and in every town anger and vitriol seems on the rise. It’s enough to depress a new born puppy.

I find myself asking how do I do something about all this. Can I make a difference?

The words of Buddha help me turn myself around from going over to the dark side. Set my heart to doing good, and do it over and over.

Ignore those who want to hold a pity party or gripe session and set my heart on doing good, and do it over and over again.

Refuse to engage in discussions about what’s wrong or surround my self with people who drag me down, and set my heart on doing good, and do it over and over again.

Repeat Buddha’s words until it becomes a mantra, and then act on his words: “Set your heart on doing good, and do it over and over again.
