Immanence and Transcendence

I will meditate on all your acts and ponder your mighty deeds.– Psalm 77:12.

Yesterday we talked a little bit about our experience and beliefs about God. Is he way out there (transcendence) or close and active in our every day lives. (Immanence).

At first when I think about mighty deeds I think of our solar system or the Grand Canyon. Yet my book club recently read several books about DNA and human cells. Is there any more intricate than life at a microscopic or sub-atomic level.

As a little boy I used to wonder where infinity ended, in outer space or inside the tiniest of particles? Infinity is he ultimate puzzle and it too is one of God’s “mighty deeds.”

Where are you in your belief of God’s nature? I kinda think God is simply pleased you are thinking and meditating about his nature, and really is indifferent to the answer.
