Some Days Are Better Than Others

One thing surgery will teach you is that some days are better than others. Another thing is that never get too confident, or your body will bring you back to reality.

I’m not complaining, really. There are way too many people enduring a lot more than I. I am simply trying to learn from this experience and take the lessons to real life. Take for instance, some days are better than others. Yesterday I was feeling pretty upbeat. I thought I was over the hump, and of course what did. I do? I overdid my exercises and my day. Today my knee is telling me loudly and clearly. “you are not 21 anymore, Hubbell.”

Age and wisdom should teach us to slow down and be more aware especially to what our body,, our mind, and especially our soul are telling us. I am also learning that a bad day is usually followed by a better day. I shouldn’t live and worry about the bad days, fir bette days are on the horizon.

If today is a bad day just tell yourself, “wait until tomorrow. It’s going to be a good day.”
