If I’m not careful it is easy to judge someone based on the successes or failures of their parent or siblings. To think the “apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”
Character and faith have nothing to do with lineage or heritage.
We are each based partly on those who came before us, but our choices are our own. We are not given a pass because our mother was a saint, neither are we doomed because our Father was a sinner.
No one inherits righteousness, we are called to earn it.
