Friendship

When I read another’s list of God’s blessings, I’m amazed that the word friendship is often left out. It’s as if friendship is something you have acquired all by your self.
Over these many years, I have learned that friendship is one of God’s most precious gifts. I have also learned that as one grows older friendship assumes a sweet intensity that isn’t there in our early days.
I’ve said often that a slow walk on a beach with a good friend is right there on the top of God’s pleasures.
It is incumbent on each of us to be a friend, nurture our friends, and to thank God every day for one’s friendships.
