Concern For The Corner

Leviticus 19:9 You shall not reap to the very edges of your field.
 
Even a long way back, there were thoughts and admonishments against taking it all, and not leaving something for the less fortunate.
It also early evidence that conservation was alive and kicking before the times of “global warning” and fear of extinction.
Literature for centuries give us stories about individuals attempting to scrape the last bit of profit from another’s labor — Mr. Scrooge provides us a once a year reminder of the downsides to a miserly spirit.
In truth we should all bear witness to the “concern for the corner,” otherwise we poison our water, we pollute the air, and we destroy the quality of life.
As New Year’s resolutions approach give some thought to including in them a “concern for the corner’ in all aspects of your life.
