When I was five years old my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down, “Happy.” They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. — John Lennon.
The above quote comes courtesy of my wonderful teammate, #44. All Razorback fans know him.
Sometimes we tend to look on the Lenten season as dark and depressing. With the right attitude each day is filled with joy. Prayer and service are two of the most joyful things we can do. Sacrifice for the betterment of ourselves leads to healthier person we were born to be. Meditation by its nature is a joyful exercise.
Work on your lenten discipline with joy in your heart, you might just find yourself singing Imagine and being “Happy.”
