Love Is The Only Way

Love is the only way to rescue humanity from all ills. — Tolstoy.

I’m a big fan of the cartoon Pearls Before Swine. The strip has had a lot of fun with the Covid virus and it tries to point out humor even as we all struggle with the consequences of this virus. Humor is a way to spread love, and we certainly need love these days.

I am always proudest of humanity when after a tragedy the victims focus on love rather than hatred. Love burns brightest during the worst of times.

Tolstoy doesn’t mince words here, he doesn’t equivocate, he doesn’t say, love is one way, he say, love is the only way.
