God’s Justice

Today we have Columbus Day and Indigenous People’s Day. Isn’t it amazing how over a lifetime our viewpoints and hero worship changes? Do you wonder how history will treat us five hundred years later. Will we be judged by the mores of today or by the values and understandings of five hundred days in the future? I don’t think we will fair better than our ancestors if I were to guess.

One thing that remains constant so far is that right wins out in the end. It might take a long, long time, but God’s justice, love, and virtue always comes out on top. Not without terrible cost but will win out nonetheless.

Why is that I ask on this rainy Monday? What do you think?
