I Desire Mercy

I desire mercy and not sacrifice…. — Matthew 12:7.

How can we please God? Jesus provides the answer.

Too often, we hear from modern pharisees that we need to sacrifice, do without, and not enjoy. I wonder if they read the same Gospels. We are called to show kindness, mercy, and love to our neighbors, family, and even our enemies. But we are not called to sacrifice.
