Commit Your Way

Commit your way to the Lord and put your trust in him, and he will bring it to pass. — Psalm 37:5.

Our psalmist suggests that we put our trust in the Lord and he/she will make it happen. Now his suggestion doesn’t seem to work when it comes to Arkansas beating Alabama in football, or a diamond mine being found in my back yard. But time has taught me that there are times and circumstances when we have to put our faith in God and let him/her take over. We know when that time is. I can’t explain how we know but we just do. When that time happens follow the psalmist’s advice, “put your trust in him, and he will bring it to pass.”
