He Is Our Peace

But now in Christ Jesus… he is our peace. — Ephesians 2:13 – 14a.

What brings you peace? Is it a vacation, a huge raise, a World Series victory? Problem with material things is the peace is temporary. The vacation always ends, the raise is never enough, and there is always another ball game. Everything on Earth is temporary. For example, have you ever met a rich person who thought he/she had enough?

The real problem though comes in our definition of peace. The peace of God is beyond understanding, yet it is the one thing we can obtain that never goes away, never diminishes, and never isn’t enough. Lighten your burden. He is our Peace.
