Contradictions

Humans are a tapestry of contradictions. I, for one, am fundamentally opposed to violence yet found immense enjoyment in playing football during college and still relish watching it. (Forty days away). My father, a staunch conservative, held an unwavering anti-gun stance, forbidding even toy guns in our home. I suspect everyone harbors similar inconsistencies.

These inherent complexities make broad generalizations about individuals or groups dangerously misleading. Yet, we humans have a propensity to judge hastily, constructing entire narratives from mere fragments.

Christ offered a radical counterpoint to such superficial assessments. His Beatitudes inverted societal expectations, elevating the humble, compassionate, pure-hearted, and peacemakers.
