Joy

My recent writing has been about as exciting as watching paint dry (or maybe even less exciting than that). It’s time to inject some humor and joy into my life, before I officially become the neighborhood crumudgeon.

I guess it’s easy to get a little grumpy when your body starts feeling like a creaky old house. But hey, who says we can’t laugh at our aches and pains? Maybe a little self-deprecating humor is in order.

So, how do I turn things around? Well, I could start by spending more time with my friends, who always seem to have a way of making me laugh. Or maybe I’ll reconnect with nature, which is like a giant, free therapy session. Maybe I’ll even dust off an old hobby, like trying to remember how to whittle without cutting my hand.

The possibilities are endless! And really, what’s a better way to find joy than by realizing just how many things bring it to us?”
