The apostles pleaded with the Lord, ‘Increase our faith!’ (Luke 17:5). This morning, I read a beautiful analogy: faith as an underground stream, always flowing to nourish us when our bodies, hearts, or souls grow weary.
Last Wednesday, after the election results were announced, my children called, their voices filled with fear. ‘Dad,’ they asked, ‘will everything be okay?’ They yearned for reassurance, a lifeline to a future that seemed uncertain. In that moment, I was called upon to offer comfort, to strengthen their faith in the face of adversity.
Like the apostles, we too will face trials that test our faith. But let us remember the abundant grace that God offers, a perpetual stream of hope and strength. By drawing from this divine wellspring, we can weather any storm and emerge stronger.
