Fear should be a driving force in our life, rather than something that limits us. Fear should trigger our imagination. Instead we tend to allow it to lock us down, and we hunker down in our comfort zone. Life becomes choked off. If we’re not careful as we get older and more comfortable, fear and anxities make us more conservative and more risk averse. Instead as we approach the end we should be less afraid. Fear should be a generator of motion, not something that paralyzes us. Healthy fear actually triggers instinct and intuition.
“Old age is ready to undertake tasks that youth shirked because they would take too long.” W. Somerset Maugham.
