In Star Wars we have “the force.” In fictional novels we read about how the simplest of acts – stepping on a butterfly – affects the world’s direction. Every imperfect and false note that has been struck in an attempt to master the harmonies of life has left its vibrations in our atmosphere. Science teaches us that all vibrations are eternal, whether of light or sound. Thus every act of a human being is stamped into his surroundings. What science has yet to explain is why vibrations of love and service and unselfishness are stronger than all others and reach the farthest — a mystery of God.
A Place To Meditate, Think, and Pray
I love this one, Webb. Hazrat Inayat Khan’s most frequently mentioned ideals are love, harmony and beauty, and they appear on wall mountings in his dargah in Dehli. Wouldn’t a dose of love and harmony go well right now in the context of the international unrests and our own political environment?
