As we get older some of us tend to slow down. Suzy tells me that it takes me, “longer to do just about everything.” While truth be told, Suzy remains the “Energizer Bunny.” The paradox is that as I slow down, my patience gets thinner. I have to constantly remind myself that patience is a virtue and not to blow my top when someone takes “too long.”
It’s okay to “slow down” unless it’s carried to extremes. It’s even good to slow down if we use our extra time to observe and think. They say Einstein at Princeton was often seen napping, but the students didn’t laugh or giggle. They would whisper, “Be quiet, Professor Einstein is thinking.”
