In your conversations with God do you dwell much on the past? You might ask for forgiveness for things done in the past, but the dialogue quickly moves to the present and your hopes and dreams for the future. God’s not very concerned about what you did, but vitally interested in your plans for the future.
So if God doesn’t dwell on what has come and gone, we shouldn’t either. The same goes for others in our life – your parents, your children, your friends, and your neighbors. Be quick to forgive, and linger long in the hope of the future.
