Regret

Having a birthday close to New Year’s gives me plenty of opportunity to visit the past. It is difficult not to get lost in regret and to ponder how to repair the irreparable, but no good comes of it. My true work lies with making the best of who and what I am. It accomplishes nothing to complain about the tools I wish I possessed, instead I should use the tools I have to their full potential. The disadvantages I face are my own doing, and it is up to me to face them and see what can be made of them.

A great quarterback is not the one who necessarily makes the fewest mistakes. The great ones have a talent in being able to learn from their mistakes, and organizing victory in spite of them and because of them.
