Saturday in the Fourth Week of Lent

He that abideth with me, and I in him, bringeth forth much fruit. – John 15:5

As some rare perfume in a vase of clay

Pervades it with a fragrance not its own,

So, when Thou dwellest in a mortal soul,

All heaven’s own sweetness seems around it thrown. – H.B. Stowe

Do you understand the phrases, “She has the voice of an angel” or “She looks like an angel.” I know when I look or hear my grandchildren, I do. How many have we seen “real beauty” in the faces of true humility. How often have you noticed the voice of the divine in a choir of volunteers who sing merely for the love of God. The divine doesn’t just dwell in the heart or the soul. The divine produces external testimony and bears evidence of the eternal principle from which it emanates.
