Thursday in the Fifth Week of Lent

Your heavenly father knoweth ye have need of all these things. Matthew 6:32

Lent is definitely about prayer and having conversations with God. There are as many ways to pray as grains of sand at my favorite beach. My  favorite way to pray is to open the Bible randomly and begin reading. Within a matter of minutes you will focus on a passage and start to converse with God.

There is no wrong way to pray, but consider the following: God knows what you ought to be asking him, what you need, and loves you more than you love yourself. So ask him to give you what you know not what or how to ask for. Simply present yourself before God and open your heart. Ask him to fulfill your needs according to his tender mercy. Tell God your foremost desire is to accomplish his will and ask for guidance and strength in accomplishing his wishes. Finally, ask God to teach you to pray, and for God to pray in you.
