Soul’s Canvas

If we hope for what we see not, then do we with patience wait for it? – ROM. 8:25

 

How often have you thought, “if only God would tell me what he wants to do.” We say to ourselves, “all I need is a glimpse of what God means for us to be, then I would not grudge him all the pains and troubles he is taking with me now to bring me to the point where he wants me to be.” But it doesn’t work that way.

God’s way is to work slowly, so we must not be surprised if he takes a great number of years to school us with wisdom. We must not be disappointed when that canvas on which he paints our eternal soul dries slowly and the final image is far from finished.
