Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh. — Luke 6:21.
Have you ever felt as if you will never laugh again? Have things seemed so bad it is hard to imagine a smile ever crossing your face? Of course you have. Life throws us some wicked curve balls that it’s impossible to imagine ever getting on base again. Jesus in his beatitudes tells us no matter what our condition life will improve. God will provide, but when it comes to tragedy laughing seems the farthest away.
Yet, doesn’t life teach us that no matter what our loss, the pain subsides and the good remains. As we grow older we lose friends, but after the tears what remains — the memories of the good times. Every friend I ever lost, now remains with me in my best memories.
My chore today — accumulate more wonderful memories. My storehouse always has room for more.
