I’ve been listening for six months now, but I haven’t heard the words. I’m talking about all the candidates for public office, the billions that have been spent, and the words I search in vain for which are: “I don’t know.”
How can so many men and women know all the answers?
We live in a world where not to have an opinion or the answer is unacceptable. It matters not where we derive our opinions. We may borrow them from others whether they are right or wrong. Then once acquired we cling on to our opinions as if they are our only children. Also once acquired we dare not say those other forbidden words, “I’ve changed my mind.”
We may never hear the words “I don’t know” or “i’ve changed my mind,” from our leaders or the candidates for public office, but consider adding them to your vocabulary. It’s more rewarding than you can imagine.
This really resonated with me. Thanks, my friend.
