Thirst For Power

I can’t get inside anybodies head. I can surmise, I can guess, and I can think I know what they were thinking, but I don’t really know.

I wonder what the officers in Memphis were thinking when they beat up a young man. I wonder what public officials are thinking when they ignore the will of their constituents in order to please the leadership. I wonder why a country goes to war in order to expand its boundaries.

As I said I don’t know for sure, a lot of what I consider wrongful conduct is driven by a thirst. A thirst for power perhaps.

God is the only true power in this world. Man’s power no matter what he/she thinks is only temporary and illusionary.

Perhaps, we should quit drinking the kool-aid of temporary power, and satisfy our thirst with love.
