Blindness isn’t believing in the essential goodness of people, but in failing to see it. — Louise Penny.
We had a terrible fire in Charlotte. An apartment building under construction caught on fire, two men were killed, but many more were saved thanks to the heroic efforts of Charlotte firemen and others. Like in other tragedies, everyone wants to know who was at fault for the blaze instead of celebrating the heroism and courage exhibited by so many.
Too often blindness is not the inability to see, but refusing to look.
