There is no limit on better. — Kevin Kelly
Anyone who played football for Coach Broyles heard early and often his favorite phrase — “We have to get Bettaa” (he would convert the er at the end of better to a southern long drawn out ahhh.).
Kelley’s quote above reminded me of Coach. Each practice, each drill, and each game was meant to make us better. Being your best indicates a limit, being better means a work in progress. It is easy to rest on one’s laurels, its much harder to recognize that there is work to be done.
My playing days are long gone, but my living days are still here. Each day, each activity, and each thought is an opportunity to become “Bettaa!”
