Usually when I see my doctor he begins his diagnosis with a question such as, “What can I do for you today” or “What’s bothering you.” In my case its usually, “How’s the knee.” He probably already knows what is going on with me, he has my blood results, my blood pressure has been checked, and well my knee is the size of a grapefruit. He wants to hear from me though. He is asking for a dialogue, and I suspect sometimes he gets more than he reckoned for.
God knows full well about what’s going on in our life and what’s bothering us, but he too wants to hear it from us through prayer and meditation. We can’t be fully healed until we are willing to let it all out to God. Our heart and soul are often in the need of a good mend, isn’t it time you told the Doctor of your spiritual health what’s really ailing you?
