We must believe the things we teach our children. — Woodrow Wilson
How nice it would be if I only uttered what I believed. Maybe President Wilson was suggesting I practice this unique way of speaking with my children to get the hang of it. Or maybe he was reminding us that children have a unique ability to perceive whether we are being honest when we speak.
How often do we hear someone else say something or read something that sounds good, so we repeat it. When we do, we allow others to have more credibility than ourselves.
Try it sometime. Before speaking asking yourself, “Do I believe what I am saying?”
Our beliefs change overtime, make sure your words and your actions mirror your beliefs.
