No labor, however humble, is dishonoring. — The Talmud
The saints and other individuals that many of us admire have one thing in common. Gandhi, Mother Teresa, St. Francis, etc. never believed that a task was beneath them, especially when it came to helping others. I am confident that each of us has a task that we think is disgusting, but we would do it for family or a friend in a heartbeat.
Often when we work it keeps our minds off ourselves. When you find yourself becoming bored, up to mischief, or beginning to engage in a pity party, take a minute and consider is there some task I can do for someone else. When we do we join the host of saints.
