One of my frustrations with politics and government in general is the constant blame game. No one is ever responsible. No one admits to a mistake. No one goes on national or local TV anymore and says, “mistakes were made, the buck and blame stops with me, and lets learn from it and move on.”
I can understand the blame game when it is played by children, but not when its played by adults, over and over, for as Dr. Anthony when we blame others we lose the power to change.
In sports the athlete is taught to learn from his/her mistakes. I know as a lawyer I learned and became a better lawyer every time I lost a case, not when I won. In each aspect of one’s life, every mistake is an opportunity to improve, but if only we don’t look for a scapegoat.
