Contribute to the needs of Saints; extend hospitality to Strangers — Romans 12:13
All children of the South take pride in our reputation for Southern hospitality. In Ireland, when you enter a home you are greeted with, “A hundred thousand welcomes to you.”
Hospitality is a practical expression of love, God’s love for all men and women of all shapes and colors, orientations, religions, and political peruasions.
In our church, all people are welcome at God’s table. At a Christian home all people are welcome, as well.
Consider this. When Christ was about to enter the world his parents were told there was no room. The world he entered was dark and friendless, and into this darkness he brought light.
This light included teaching us that a stranger is our neighbor, and that God’s hospitality extends to all.
