While you have light, believe in the light, so you may become children of the light. — John 12:36.
We cannot survive living totally in the dark. We can’t enjoy great art, Mother Nature, or the face of a child in the dark. Except for Suzy’s cat the rest of God’s creatures are drawn to the light.
Vampires can’t survive in the light, and most villains are referred to being “dark.”
John wasn’t referring to sunlight when he wrote the above, but its a good analogy. He is also saying that we will be without the light at some point. Those times are called the dark nights of the soul. If we have basked in the light, refreshed our batteries, and charged up our reserves, those dark nights will come and go, and we will soon be in and children of the light again.
How do you prepare for the darkness that we all experience?
