The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. — Matthew 21:42.
Time and time again we hear stories of athletes failing and then getting up and becoming the star. Michael Jordan was once cut from the basketball team is a good example. But the stories of rejected stones goes much further than sports. People are fired only to build a Fortune 500 business, writers are rejected only to write a Pulitzer writing novel, and great leaders like Lincoln were once defeated in their early political history.
It’s not how often you fall, but how quickly one gets up. Most all of us have been rejected stones in our life. This virus has nocked a lot of us on our bottoms, but it is important to remember to get back up and that each and every one of us has the potential to become a “cornerstone.”
What building are you becoming its foundation?
