I believe that you can identify some good in everyone, even in the worst of men/women there is some aspect of goodness, some chink in their armor, and some glimmer of kindness. It is in that chink, aspect, or glimmer that God plants his seed of hope. It is then up to the individual and all of us to water, fertilize, and nurture the emerging plant until like possession vine or kudzu it takes over. God calls us to find that seed of hope in each and every one of us. To talk to our emerging plant, feed it with love, and let the light of day shine on it as it emerges in our life. He also calls us to find that seed in every one of our neighbors and treat it as our own.

Good morning Webb,
Thank you for sharing your blog and your thoughts with me. I love the idea of finding some “chink” in everyone. God is at work in every soul, and it is up to us to remember that this soul in front of us is a product of His. A construction project, just like us, that is under-way to create something we have no idea what is being built, or why.
I would like to suggest that it is our responsibility to turn the perception around to ourselves and recognize those “chinks” in our own armor. To own them, nurture them and to ask the Lord for His guidance in smoothing out our own rough edges.
